Kaisercraft Pack Your Bags

I still haven't scrapped (way too exhausted for that) but here is a layout I can show you that uses Kaiser's new travel range Pack Your Bags. It focuses mainly on the journalling. I stamped directly on the raw chipboard for the title for something different. Check out the Kaiser blog for some more ideas for different titles.

Laundry Line Origami Flowers

I am sooo exhausted from this weekend. We ended up having an impromptu barbie with some friends who visited yesterday. They stayed till late last night and I woke up this morning feeling soooo exhausted that I didn't end up doing anything today, in fact didn't do most of what was planned for this weekend. I have to keep reminding myself that I am in the last weeks of this pregnancy and stop trying to be so apologetic for being tired lol! Anyway, I also didn't get any scrapping done. I have a few projects sitting around my scrap room that are started but not finished and I didn't touch any of them all weekend.

I did decide to join in the Twelve Weeks of Christmas on the Addicted to Craft blog though. They're up to week 5 and I have been lurking but not participating the past four weeks. This week's challenge was to create two "ear rings" (or Christmas decorations) using My Mind's Eye Laundry Line papers. So I decided to make these origami flowers that are from the Kaisercraft website (it just involved alot of sitting down and folding so didn't use up too much energy ;) They really didn't take long to put together at all (just a bit fidgety to glue together at the end when you don't have any paperclips to hold them together but we got there ;)

So that is all I have to show you. Was hoping to have a bit more but maybe in the next couple of days. I don't think I'll get anything done tomorrow either as I'm having a few of Jai's friends over for morning tea and then an appointment in the arvo. Maybe Tuesday? :P

Winner of Mag and RAK!

I almost forgot to do this today but it's still Friday so I just made it! I put the numbers into True Random Number Generator and here's the result: 7. The SEVENTH PERSON to leave me a comment was KAYLA RENEE!!! Congrats Kayla! Please contact me with your postal details and your prize will be on your way :D

Thanks to all who participated and stay tuned for more of these.

And another pregnancy layout!

My three year old son took these photos with my Canon 400D digital SLR! Yep, you read that right. I put it on the settings that I wanted in manual mode, and then showed him how to hold the camera and which button to press. I think he did pretty good don't you? And these photos are completely unedited too (I liked them just the way they were).

I hope your Friday has been a good one as the weekend approaches. I have been doing housework and scrapping all morning and am about to head out to run some errands and go to an appointment. I have to have CTGs (fetal heart monitoring) up at the hospital twice a week from now till the end so it's been endless hospital and ob appointments but at least I know I'm being looked after ;) I have a bit on this weekend but am hoping to get my scrappy fix in somewhere so will no doubt be back to show you what I've been up to. Hope you have a great weekend :)

Kaisercraft Dear Santa

I've really been enjoying making all these Christmas projects. This one is a letter holder using Kaisercraft's Dear Santa Collection. I loooove this range, I don't often use vintage collections, but I found this so easy to work with and just gorgeous!! Everything came together so easily (love it when that happens).

here's the inside of the letter holder

And of course I had to make a card to go with it ;)

Thanks for visiting today. And for those that leave me a message - thank you :) I love to know who visits and reads my blog, and I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and say hi.
I am off to have lunch and coffee with the girls today. Then tonight going to help my mother in law celebrate her birthday! Looking forward to it!

Kaisercraft Christmas Carnival

Getting into the Christmas spirit!! Here are some cards and an altered gift box I made using Christmas Carnival. It is such a fun christmas range with it's non-traditional, bright colours.

Kaisercraft 'Be Inspired' Challenge

Wow, second post for the day - told ya I would soon be able to reveal all that I've been up to!! This weekend I had the chance to create a layout for Kaisercraft's Monthly 'Be Inspired' challenge. As soon as I saw the picture of Bob Marley on the board this idea popped into my head! Bit of a background story to the photos, my hubby Mardi is a huge Bob Marley fan and when we were travelling in America last year he was determined to find a kid's Marley shirt for Jai. We hunted high and low for this shirt and finally found one in LA (at one of the stalls on the Venice Beach boardwalk to be exact) and I had these photos of Jai wearing the shirt in Bali that I knew I wanted to scrap. The background is something I haven't done for a little while so it was fun to get the good old glimmer mist out and some chipboard stars to create a funky background.

If you have the chance, why not pop over to the Kaiser blog and give the monthly inspiration challenge a go?

12 Cards to Christmas

TSE is holding a 12 Cards to Christmas Challenge which started today. There will be two card challenges a week. I am going to try and participate as much as I can to get my homemade chrissy cards done nice and early this year!

Here are some cards I have made to start with.

This first one was for an inspiration challenge. I've used the adorable Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses range. I just love this collection :)

I couldn't stop at just one so, using the same design as this, I made a couple more.

Next up I created this "Build a Scene" card which was Jaimee's challenge.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We had a great day yesterday, spent the day with friends just chilling out, had a bbq and a few drinkies (well not really a few for me :P). Was really a lovely day and trying to make the most of it, catching up with friends before our new bundle arrives! Wow, we have hit November - not long to go at all.
