Spread Your Wings Note Cards and 12 Cards to Christmas

I made this little note card holder and matching note cards for a "mystery" friend. I had these Three Bugs in a Rug papers and die cuts for a while but not used them. They were perfect to make this little set.

Front closed

Inside open

Holder and six matching note cards. They are so quick if you have some coordinating papers or a stamp set would work well. I'm thinking of making a few more sets of these to give away - what do you think?

It was my turn to set another challenge for TSE's 12 Cards to Christmas. I decided this week to set a "Simple Card" challenge and the criteria is to create a card using a grid as shown in my example below. I used Kaiser's Christmas Carnival for this card.

Kaisercraft Belle Christmas Tree

This is my Tree Card Holder which I decided to make into a table centre piece using papers from the Belle Collection. It's featured on the Kaiser blog today along with the other DTs inspiring ideas. For more details visit the Kaiser blog today! There is a ton of inspiration there!

Wedding Card

Just thought I'd show you the wedding card I made for our cousin's wedding today. I used one of Krissy's handmade flowers in Shimmery Black.

And a close up of the flower - totally gorgeous!

Kaiser layouts and Advent Calendar

Here are two layouts I created using Kaisercraft Lilac Avenue. This range was made with little girls in mind, so for the first layout I decided to think outside the square and try it for a little boy layout!

Of course I couldn't go past the gorgeous flowers and girlyness, and also put this page together again borrowing the cutest girl around ;)

And here's the Kaisercraft Advent Calender which I decided to make a yearly calender out of using the Rewind Collection.

What's everyone up to for the weekend? We have a wedding to go to tomorrow, Sunday I'm going to check out the baby markets, been meaning to go to one of these for so long! And Sunday night hubby and I are going on a date! Gee, we don't get to do it very often but a friend has been offering for ages to watch Jai for us so we can have a night out on our own before little junior arrives. Jai is good friends with her little girl so I know he'll be comfortable there and we are finally taking her up on the offer and going out to dinner and a movie. We've booked tickets to see NEW MOON! OMG I cannot wait to see it (I'm a complete Twilight fan)!!!
Thanks for stopping by and for those that leave comments - thank you :) I love reading them, they make my day.

Bo Bunny Love Bandit

I recently bought Love Bandit from TSE - this is such a cute range, really love the little animals and the colours are gorgeous.

In this first layout, I have scrapped these photos of me and Jai taken in Bali in August, just mucking around in front of the camera.

In this second layout I have used pregnancy shots with a difference! I took the photos looking down at Jai from above - I thought they looked pretty cool with my belly from this perspective. Lately Jai has been asking if he can hold his baby brother. My answer is always "soon".

And lastly, a couple of cards with the scraps

Hope everyone is having a good week so far. I have appointments coming out of my ears. These days, a day without an appointment is a good day ;) Tomorrow is another busy day. I have Jai's kindy information session, which I almost completely forgot about till this morning, so I have to be up bright and early for that. Thank goodness I was able to arrange a baby sitter at the last minute. Then we have a birthday party at a local play centre to go to after that.
Thanks for stopping by and any comments you may leave :) I do still have a few more things to show you but will be back to post them.

Imaginisce A Shore Thing!

It's amazing the things you find when you really look (or in my case clean up)! I had bought these adorable Penguin Dude and Penguin Chick stamps from Imaginisce and then I found some papers from the collection that I bought around the same time. So I felt inspired to do something with them and created these two cards. We have summer kicking in here so I had no problem putting these together ;)

First up is the little penguin dude

I had fun 3D-ing his shorts and popsicle

And the little penguin chick - so cute!

Lilac Avenue Frame

Happy 5th birthday to my second cousin Ziah! This was my gift to her this year -no toys, no clothes, no dvds - simply a decorated picture frame and she absolutely adored it (so did all the adults at the party too hehe). Ziah is 5 now and at the age where she loves photos of herself and I knew she'd love this for her bedroom. It's such a nice feeling making homemade gifts for people who truly appreciate them. To know that when someone hands you a gift that they have made especially with you in mind, to me that far outways a store bought item. After all, it's the thought that counts right?

So onto the frame ;) It's a Kaisercraft Small Square Frame that I have had for ages and I decorated it using the all-girly Lilac Avenue range. A special shout out goes to Rona for letting me copy her scalloped fan fold flowers! Thanks Rona! I think the scalloped edge is a wonderful idea, love them!!

The birthday girl (excuse the blurry photos but hubby took hold of the camera LOL)...

Our little boy is such a groover lol ;)

I'll be back to show you some more stuff later on! Until then bye for now!

Farm Fresh and a Little Bit of Whimsy

I've had October Afternoon Farm Fresh sitting here for weeks begging me to play with it, but I had so much other work to do that I haven't had a chance till now. Well it was worth the wait, what a delicious range. First up is a revival of a card I did ages ago and couldn't resist doing again just so I could use these oh-so-cute My Little Bit of Whimsy pears.

card inside

close up of the pears, so yummy you could eat them ;)

And another card this time using an adorable whimsy mushroom.

And finally a layout. I've been meaning to scrap these photos for almost a year! They were taken at Jai's playgroup christmas party last year. He adores animals and if there are any farm animals in sight, he makes a beeline for them and you can't drag him away. I have photos of him with all the animals but these ones of him feeding the guinea pig were the cutest ;)

using a MLBOW bee pin

I have a few more things to show but will be back tomorrow to post them. We're babysitting a friend's little boy tonight and him and Jai are running a mok at this minute. Better go check what they are up to!! Have a great night :)

Kaisercraft Pack Your Bags

I still haven't scrapped (way too exhausted for that) but here is a layout I can show you that uses Kaiser's new travel range Pack Your Bags. It focuses mainly on the journalling. I stamped directly on the raw chipboard for the title for something different. Check out the Kaiser blog for some more ideas for different titles.
